Many of us may be familiar with the cartoon incarnation of the Tasmanian devil thanks to The Looney Tunes, but these real life animals bear little resemblance to their animated brethren.

Tasmanian devils are carnivorous marsupials found on Tasmania, an Australian island. They are well known for having incredibly strong bites for their size, black fur, a strong sense of smell, and a very muscular build. They are typically awake and active during the day, and can be found climbing trees and swimming across rivers quite often.
